After a long bus ride we got off at Americas most dreaded and historic prison Eastern State Penitentiary. Most people think Alcatraz is the most dreaded prison but this one is different. Each prisoner gets a cell to him self and only one book the bible to read. He never gets to see other prisoners wen he does they where hoods to work and only get to go out side for other reasons occasionally. They are manly locked in there cells and almost never go out side there exercise court. Many just went insane or over that some died of the yellow fever, some killed them selves. Some communicated through banging on pipes or through a hole in the decomposing wall. The ones caught talking are forced to wear the metal gag. It go's in the mouth and is attached to the hands crossed behind the back casing excruciating pain. It was a horrible place. They finally shut it down in the 1970's. Today the prison is being protected buy the historical society.
To end the day we did the ghost tour around historic Philly.
